Journalists ordered to delete pictures as Vice President collapses

What happened

Security details reportedly ordered journalists to delete pictures of Vice President Kembo Mohadi after he reportedly collapsed while addressing a Zanu PF campaign launch in Gutu West constituency.

The seat is being contested by Zanu PF deputy youth secretary John Paradza.

According to The Standard edition of 22 October 2023, Vice President Mohadi collapsed on the podium and was airlifted to an unknown destination for medical attention.

Security agents, however, quickly rounded up journalists covering the event and ordered them to delete all pictures of Mohadi’s fall.
